Most people arrive at a headshot session having thought about their face and not their clothes, which is backwards. The camera does not care much what your expression is doing in the first ten minutes. It cares about what you are wearing, because that is what fills most of the frame.
Bring three tops in solid colours, ideally in different tones rather than different styles. Mid and dark shades sit better against most backgrounds than white or pale grey, which can pull light back into the face and flatten it. Avoid tight patterns. Fine stripes and small checks confuse the sensor and produce a shimmer that no amount of retouching removes cleanly.
Bring whatever you actually wear to work. A jacket you bought for the session will look like a jacket you bought for the session. If you are unsure, we will lay everything out at the start and pick together.
Come with your hair the way you normally wear it. Sessions run about forty minutes and we will get more usable frames in that time than you expect.
